Magic Towns


What are “The Magic Towns”?


The magic towns are small cities that have been called under this name, because are places which conserve the traditional face of Mexico. It means that towns have not been affected by the global industry.

This project was developed by The Secretary of Tourism in 2001, the goal of this project has been put up the tourism activity in places where the population have kept up the traditions or might be places where have happened important events of Mexico.
Those places offer to the national or international tourist other sort of possibilities to explore the typical flavor of Mexico, because they conserve their architecture, their essence and of curse their cousine.
Until now 38 towns have been added at this program.

it's cool I didn't know all the "magic towns" and for me all of them are amazing but I think that they could it better with more difusion.

I like much that project because looks for the conservation of the traditions and the culture of specific sites so that they are not lost with happening of the years and I believe that it is a good measurement but it needs more promotion but beginning by us because we are Mexican and we don’t know Mexico.
It cannot be!!!

Unfortunately I find out that I don´t know almost all of these towns

but with a little bit of luck I will visit them all one of these days

I love this part of Mexico, the magic/culture side.

Mexico is perfect we can find a lot of places when we want to travel...I would like to know some of these beautiful towns and live there!!!

this kind of programs are a good projects to increase the variety of places to visit in Mexico and the important thing is the comunities that belong to the magic towns program are favored by tourists who visit them.

I believe this program help to preserve the identity of each magic town. This program has been important to diffuse different places of each state of Mexico that are not very visited but are very amazing.

What can we say fellas, simply this is México…. we can have big political issues, several insecurity issues, etc. but our best treasure is our people and our culture, it´s our responsability hold them across the time, about this subject….. few countries as Mexico around the World
